Bartholomew immigrated from Hong Kong to the United States with his parents and two brothers. He grew up in Quincy, MA and graduated from Boston College High School, Bentley University, and Bentley Graduate School of Business. Growing up, Bartholomew had a passion for theater and has performed and produced a number of stage productions throughout his school days. His wife, children, and he continue live in Quincy and are avid Disney Cruisers.
